Former Penn State Stars Give Their Encouragement to the 2019 Nittany Lions

An active and supporting alumni base is important to any successful program. With the 2019 opener against Idaho just two days away, some notable Penn State football alums took to Twitter to show their support for the 2019 team. Let’s see what some former Nittany Lions said.

Let’s start with former Penn State star QB and current Baltimore Raven Trace McSorley. He kept his message simple but reminded the team to Go Get ‘Em!


Former All-Big Ten Offensive Lineman and current Buffalo Bill Ryan Bates checks in with the 2019 squad.


Former Penn State tight end Kyle Carter voiced his support and has high hopes for the 2019 team. He expects to see Penn State in the College Football Playoff!

Current Tennessee Titan and former Penn State defensive tackle DaQuan Jones provided his support, as well.

Last, but not least from last night, current New York Giants, Saquon Barkley and Grant Haley, showed some love for the 2019 Nittany Lions.

Then, today, more Nittany Lions made videos to show their support for James Franklin’s team. Here is current Detroit Lions defensive back Amani Oruwariye.

Also, a second-round pick out of Penn State in the 2019 NFL Draft, Miles Sanders took a break from Philadelphia Eagles training camp to give a special shout out to the #LawnBoyz.
